Angelica Panganiban wins Best Actress at the 8th Golden Screen Awards; Lovi Poe and Sid Lucero also win big
Actress Angelica Panganiban won Best Actress in a Comedy Film for Here Comes the Bride at the 8th Golden Screen Awards held at Teatrino, Greenhills, San Juan on April 2, reports TV Patrol.
The actress bested comedy veterans Ai-Ai delas (Ang Tanging Ina) and Eugene Domingo (Here Comes the Bride), according to PEP.ph.
Panganiban told PEP.ph, "Yes, first time kong magpatawa. First time kong pinasok ang comedy and nanalo ako. Kaya sobra akong happy. Haping-haping-hapi (Yes, it’s my first time to try comedy and I won, that’s why I’m so happy.)."
The actress also thanked boyfriend Derek Ramsay during her speech, who was not able to attend the ceremony due to a Frisbee tournament in Boracay, reports PEP.ph. It was recently reported that the two have broken up, but both parties denied the issue.
