(SPOT.ph) Hot on the heels of its A World of Hamburgers promotion comes another gustatory feast from Oakroom. The restaurant recently launched its Italian Wine and Food Festival, which will feature Oakwood Premier Executive Chef Jerome Cartailler’s exquisite Italian fare paired with top-of-the-line wines from Ruffino, a wine producer founded in Tuscany, Italy in 1877. "We are thrilled to highlight one of the world's best-loved food and wines in Oakroom, " Oakroom Restaurant General Manager Brian Conelly said.
Whet your appetite with their Bruschetta Parmigiano, served with extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar and sip on Ruffino Orvieto Classico-a light white wine with hints of green apples and wild flowers. Also on the menu is Carpaccio Di Salmone-thinly sliced, fresh salmon Carpaccio marinated in a lemon and orange vinaigrette-which amps up the fruity taste in your mouth. For the main dish, indulge in Scaloppini di Angelo Con Porcini-lamb tenderloin scaloppini, Porcini mushrooms in a Barolo-port wine reduction sauce and fried polenta, which is perfectly paired with Ruffino Riserva Ducale, a full-bodied and fruity red wine that highlights the flavor of the tender lamb meat nicely. Cap off your hearty meal with dessert-the Lemoncello and Raspberry Semi Freddo is a tempting semi-frozen lemon liquor and raspberry parfait.
