Child star Joshua Pineda + more Pinoys bag top titles in World Championships of the Performing Arts

(SPOT.ph) Child actor Joshua Pineda took home the "Junior Grand Champion Performer of the World" and the "Junior Grand Vocalist of the World" titles at this year's World Championships of the Performing Arts in Hollywood held last week, reports GMA News.

 

Pineda stars as Chito Manaloto in the GMA sitcom Pepito Manaloto. A Negros Occidental native, he is currently a Grade 3 student enrolled in a home study program of the Victory Elijah Schools Systems in Antipolo City. According to the report, Pineda began singing when he was four years old. For the competition, he performed Frank Sinatra's "The Can't Take That Away from Me."

 

Sand artist Joseph Erwin Valerio, also known as "Joseph the Artist" was named the contest's "Variety World Champion" while Joshua "The Yoyo Tricker" Davis won "Junior Variety Grand Champion." Davis and Valerio were both "Ultimate Talendos" in the first and second season, respectively, of TV5's Talentadong Pinoy show.
