(SPOT.ph) The Mid-Autumn Festival, which fetes harvest and Thanksgiving, is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar-in other words, it’s that time of the year again when munching on mooncakes nabs the top spot on our eating agenda. These round-shaped pastries filled with bean, lotus seed paste or other fillings, often baked to a golden sheen, are usually gifted by Chinese families to their loved ones.
