ABS-CBN Interactive-via its entertainment news site Push-reports that "several members of the Philippine Volcanoes, the national rugby team, came into the defense of actor-comedian Vice Ganda amid the malicious rumors about the nature of his relationship with several male showbiz personalities."

The report quoted player Andrew Wolff, who said,  "Bahala sila, bahala na lang ’yung mga taong nagkakalat ng tismis (Never mind the rumormongers). I’ve been a friend of Vice for nearly two years now and walang malisya doon (there’s nothing malicious about it)."

For his part, Wolff’s teammate Eric Tai pointed out: "They always do that with Vice. Whoever is tight with Vice na lalake (and that person is male), they would always say baka ano ni Vice ’yan (maybe there’s something going on between them). They always try to [bring up] that angle."

The report said that Wolff and Tai "consider Vice as a really good friend" and that they’re "grateful to have a buddy like him who continuously shows his support [for the] whole team."
