Agence France-Presse (AFP) reports that Bureau of Customs commissioner Ruffy Biazon said he investigated the claim of actor Taylor Kitsch that he had a bad experience with a customs officer at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Kitsch had gone on The Late Show With David Letterman and talked about his supposed ordeal involving a customs officer.

The report quoted Biazon, who wrote in his report: "I feel confident that Mr. Kitsch was mistaken in saying that his bad experience during his travel was in the Philippines. Unfortunately, the damage was done. In the meantime, Mr. Kitsch, perhaps you can help us redeem our lost pride."

Kitsch’s story wen viral as soon as the Letterman episode was aired. It doesn’t help that the public perceives the BOC as a very problematic agency. In any case, did Kitsch confuse the Philippines for Indonesia, the actual location for the Oliver Stone film Savages?
