Adidas Is Coming Out With a 100% Recyclable Shoe

Hooray for sustainable sneaker options!

(SPOT.ph) Marking every sneaker sale on your calendar? Making a never-ending wish list of kicks to buy? It's okay, you can admit it... you have a sneaker addiction. Don't worry, we understand. But with all products from clothes to cosmetics to kicks, their materials and production can have a harmful effect on our environment. Luckily, we're now seeing tons of brands opt for more sustainable products and materials. Adidas is just one of many brands making the switch with their new kicks, the Futurecraft Loop.

While most sneakers are made from a diverse range of materials, the Futurecraft Loop is made entirely from TPU (a type of biodegradable plastic), but engineered with the same comfort, function, and sleek design the brand is known for. The best part is that at the end of the shoe's lifespan, you can return it to Adidas so they can break it down and turn the materials into a new pair!

The Futurecraft Loop is slated to be released sometime in 2021. Till then, we'll keep our eyes peeled for other eco-friendly sneaker options like these pairs made from recycled bottles.
