This New Pocket-Sized Instax Lets You Record Sound on Your Photos

The camera converts your audio recording into a printable QR code!

( Ever look at an old photograph and remember the exact moment it was taken? Maybe you were having a laugh with your friends or you were in the middle of telling a story—sometimes it's almost like you can hear it happening all over again. Well, Fujifilm is letting you relive those memories even more clearly with their newest instant film camera: the Instax Mini LiPlay. It lets you record sound on your print photos!

Okay, we know it sounds crazy, but hear us out: The camera lets you record up to 10 seconds of audio data when you take photos, which it then converts into a QR code and prints along with your photo. That way, you can scan it on your smartphone and hear the audio anytime! Pretty cool, right?

Here's what your printed photos will look like with the QR code:

Besides its claim-to-fame sound function, the Instax Mini LiPlay has tons of other cool features. It's got its own LED screen that lets you choose which photos you want to print out (so you never waste film!). You can even edit the photos with filters and brightness adjustments. Plus, you can use it to print photos you took with your phone!

For group pics—or if you need that specific angle for the 'gram—the camera also has a remote shooting function, which lets you use your phone as a remote to take a photo. Just make sure to download the Instax Mini LiPlay app to make it work. Don't worry, it's free.

The Instax Mini LiPlay comes in a sleek design (the smallest in the Instax lineup so far) so you'll have no problem throwing it in your bag or even putting it in your pocket. Plus, you can choose from three gorgeous colors: White, Pink, and Black.
