According to the Philippine Information Agency, these masks were tested by the Department of Science and Technology and the results show that they are "seven times better than the normal cloth face mask when it comes to filtration and protection."
The 7xB Abaca Fiber Masks are handmade in Salay, Misamis Oriental in Mindanao by a community of around 350 artisans. The masks are washable, reusable, water-repellent, and tear-resistant. To wash, simply soak in soapy water after every use and make sure not to scrub so as to maintain its form.
