Good News: Starbucks Cards Aren't Going Away After All

( Starbucks lovers, we know how heart-broken you must have felt when  Starbucks announced that you only had until June to use your Starbucks Card. Well, it looks like you won't have to say bye to your collection after all because Starbucks will still be coming out with new Starbucks Cards along with the new Rewards program which they're launching on July 17!

"Don’t worry, you won’t lose your load even if your card itself can’t be used after July 15. Starting July 17, just show your Starbucks Card or the Starbucks App and we’ll transfer your remaining balance of P100 or more to a new Starbucks Card or give you a cash refund for anything lower than P100," reads Starbucks' announcement on their Facebook page.

This just means that only your existing Starbucks Cards cannot be used after July 15. Starbucks will still be coming out with new Starbucks Cards that will be rolled out along with the new Starbucks Rewards program, which looks like it's changing for the better because according to their website, you'll collect Stars on almost everything you buy—meaning you can get Stars faster so you can claim your rewards quicker. Cool, right?

As for your remaining balance on your existing Starbucks Card, they'll be transferring it to their new Starbucks Cards if your balance is P100 or more. Starbucks is also offering cash refunds for balances under P100. Do note that your existing Stars will not be transferred to the new Starbucks Cards so best to use them up before July 15!

Remember, if you're going out, always wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, practice proper physical distancing, and disinfect thoroughly as soon as you get home. Stay safe, Spotters!
