Yup, This Is a Sign: Where to Buy Dyson Vacuums, Fans + More in Manila

Some of these places are on sale, too! Wink, wink.

(SPOT.ph) You've probably experienced walking past a Dyson stall in the mall and pausing to stand in front of one of their fancy-looking bladeless fans because, well, it's not every day you can breathe air coming from a Dyson product. Or maybe you've been curious about their famous vacuum cleaners because they always seem to appear in every K-Drama you watch. Well, now that we're spending most of our time at home (at least, we hope you've been staying indoors) and probably doing a lot of cleaning and organizing, it's a good time to invest in home-improvement appliances.

If you've been curious about Dyson, here's a bit of background. The home appliance brand was founded in the U.K. in 1991 by James Dyson. Dyson's DNA is efficiency. "It's in our DNA," reads their website. "It was the motivation behind James Dyson's bagless vacuum cleaner." According to Forbes, Dyson was frustrated with their home vacuum, so he took it upon himself to invent a better version that uses a cyclone to lift dirt. The rest is history. And if you were wondering about their products' hefty price tags, Mashable reports that it's because of various reasons—one of them being they were built to last you years and they do this through rigorous testing.

"Prototypes are subjected to months of repetitive and rigorous testing, a different rig for every part," Dyson writes on the description of their YouTube video that actually shows how they test their products. "The tumble test shakes and rattles components in a steel box for days. Another slams cleaner heads into a steel table leg at 30km/h. And a robot arm pushes machines back and forth back and forth for the equivalent of 21 years." According to Dyson, they drop their vacuums onto a hard floor 5,318 times and run 1,357 kilometers on a turntable rig, among others. It takes 120 engineers, 50,000 hours, and 550 tests until they are sure their products are tough enough. Intense, right?
