(SPOT.ph) In late 2018, Filipino sportswear brand World Balance released a line of Disney-themed sneakers sporting the media giant's most foundational character, Mickey Mouse. They followed up with another release in mid-2019, unveiling minimalist pairs featuring understated illustrations of Mickey and Minnie with pops of red adding color to the mostly black-and-white styles. For 2021, they're following the tradition with a new release, but the time, there's a cool local twist: World Balance's Mickey Go Philippines Collection features sneakers that celebrate Filipino heritage and design!

This cool collection of kicks features styles that showcase both the classic cartoon character that is Mickey Mouse as well as the rich colors and designs of Filpino culture and heritage.

Check out the World Balance Mickey Mouse Go Philippines Collection:

The Mickey x Bandila Sneakers sport a predominantly white exterior with a no-frills silhouette and Mickey's face—in one of its more old-school iterations—printed onto the side in black and white. The pair is decked out in pops of red, yellow, and blue, taking inspiration from the colors of the Philippine flag (as the sneakers' name suggests). Plus, take a closer look and you'll see Mickey Mouse's name stamped onto the sunshine-yellow laces.

If you prefer a more toned down or monochromatic design, check out the Mickey x Habi Sneakers. The pair is decked out in soft nude shades from heel to toe. On the outer side of each shoe, you’ll see the Mickey logo (better known to '90s and 2000s kids as a Hidden Mickey) emblazoned on the leather in a traditional habi material. The sole sports a woven, espadrille-like material, giving the style a rustic touch.
