In 2021, that was the Galaxy S21, which included three models: the S21, the S21+, and the S21 Ultra. In case you weren't able to get your hands on it—whether for a lack of disposable budget or because of general indecisiveness—now may be the right time: Samsung is dropping their Galaxy S21 FE 5G on January 11. Following in the footsteps of the Galaxy S20 FE, the S21 FE delivers some of the most notable features of the S21 in a more budget-friendly package.Â
Here's What to Expect From the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G
Much like the original S21, the S21 FE sports the same sleek, contour-cut, rounded-rectangle frame and slim, 7.9-millimeter build. It will be available in four new colors: Olive, Graphite, Lavender, and White. But it's got more to offer than just looks. Samsung equipped the model "with the premium features that matter most to our loyal Galaxy fans," says TM Roh, president and head of Samsung Electronics’ mobile experience business.
That includes the same advanced, ultra-fast processor as the OG S21, which promises smooth, seamless operation thanks to a quick and seamless touch response rate and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The S21 FE also provides sharp, high-quality graphics for professionals, gamers, and even casual users, thanks to a dynamic AMOLED 2X display.
Battery life has improved from the S21 at 4,500 mAh—the original model had a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh—and built to last all day long. This is reinforced with 25W SuperFast charging capabilities, which can charge your battery by more than 50% in just 30 minutes.
The Galaxy S21 was renowned for its top-of-the-line camera and the S21 FE is following suit with the same pro-grade setup—including a 32-megapixel front camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 12-megapixel wide camera, and 8-megapixel telephoto lens—as well as versatile editing features. The S21 FE also has upgraded Night Mode compared to its predecessor, allowing users to capture clearer low-light shots.Â

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G will be available starting January 11. Pre-order is available from now until January 10 on the Samsung website, Lazada, Shopee, the Abenson website, and MemoXpress online as well as at Samsung Experience Stores and selected Samsung retailers. Customers who pre-order before the official release will get a free pair of Galaxy Buds Live with each purchase.
