A Color-Changing Exterior, a 50MP Front Cam + More: What to Expect From the Vivo V23
It's coming to the Philippines this February!
(SPOT.ph) These days, it seems like our smartphones can do just about anything: pay bills, order groceries, find your true love in a pool of Internet strangers—you get the gist. And just when you think personal devices can’t get any more mind-blowing, well, you’d be wrong. Case in point: Vivo just unveiled their new V23 Series a.k.a. the world’s first color-changing phone. No, seriously—the device is able to literally transform its exterior color into a different shade.
This is thanks to something called Photochromic design technology, which allows the phone’s color to change from a bright Sunshine Gold to an iridescent aquamarine hue when exposed to UV light—you can opt for the former if you're going for a more classic look or choose the latter if you'd like a device that's even more eye-catching. If you’re the the kind of person who’s extra picky when it comes to choosing what color device you'll buy or perhaps the type to constantly change your smartphone's protective casing to match your current aesthetic, the V23 should right up your alley. But while its looks are definitely a standout feature, the Vivo V23 series is much more than just a good-looking phone.
Here's What You Can Expect From the Vivo V23 Series
The V23 is designed primarily for vlogging. Now, before you click off, we know not everyone out there looking to buy a high-quality smartphone is a content creator—and we understand if you cringed at the thought of recording videos of your daily life and broadcasting them to thousands of people, but hear us out. The V23 is a worthy choice for anyone who likes documenting their lives in pretty pictures or using social media to express themselves—and these days, that's pretty much all of us. Whether you secretly dream of sharing tidbits of your weekly routine a la Emma Chamberlain or you just like posting fun memories on Instagram or TikTok, the device would be right up your alley—primarily because it's got a huge 6.44-inch screen with 2400 x 1800 resolution as well as a pretty impressive camera setup.
A pretty solid camera setup
The V23 Series offers incredible picture- and video-taking quality even on the front camera, which, let's face it, is the one you're using most of the time these days be it for taking selfies or hopping on video calls. With the V23, you get a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus that promises to capture pics and clips that are crystal-clear, but also natural looking—those of you who like to edit and color-grade your photos and videos yourselves would especially appreciate the latter feature.
On the rear, which has a triple-lens setup, you'll find a 64-megapixel Bokeh Flare Portrait camera. It's also built with autofocus and ideal for capturing scenery—think beaches, sunsets, skyline views, and the like. Plus, the camera setup has a JNV sensor chip, which promises great quality even in low light. You also get an 8-megapixel Super Wide-Angle camera perfect for capturing big group photos.
Huge memory capacity
So you've got a smartphone to take high-quality pictures and videos, but of course, you'd also need a ton of storage space to keep all those files in your phone. Luckily, the V23 boasts both a huge memory capacity as well as impressive processing power. The device has 12GB + 256GB RAM with extended 4GB RAM that ensures enough space for media and enough power for running several apps and multitasking seamlessly. It also has dual-sim capability with two 5G SIM slots so you'll have no problem storing all your contacts or switching between your personal and work numbers.
How much will the Vivo V23 Series cost and where can you buy it?
