The Most Beautiful Retail Stores in Manila
Step foot inside the city's most unique and immersive shopping spaces.
Published on Apr 24, 2026
(SPOT.ph) The act of shopping has long ceased to be a mere transaction. More than just a space to house goods, the modern retail store must imbibe a brand’s identity in order to bring people out of their homes and into spaces that transport them into a world different from their usual. It’s a space meant to entice them to part with their hard-earned peso, contain the things they dream about, but also invite inspiration, and maybe even foster community.
Several brands in the city have put serious thought into creating spaces that represent their philosophies and immerse shoppers in these little worlds. From chill, laidback spots to more rambunctious, colorful joints, we found stores that speak to a variety of shoppers. This weekend, we implore you to step out and push the door open to enter Metro Manila’s most unique and beautiful retail spaces.
Here are 10 of the most beautiful retail stores in Manila:
Atomic World
Atomic World is what happens when your parents actually let you design your room on your own terms, no matter how absurd it sounds to pair pink unicorn wallpaper with polka-dotted chairs. It’s the ultimate girly pop dress-up setting from a 90's movie, with the “The Tide Is High” and “Teenage Dirtbag” blaring, and you're the star of this shopping montage.
You won't be short on pieces to try on either; from flowy bohemian tops and heavy-duty jackets to kitschy keychains and costume jewelry, no two pieces are ever the same. Each item on the racks and shelves at Atomic World oozes with character — and how could it not? Owner Fed Pua's taste and flair emerges in the store’s selection of secondhand and vintage clothing acquired from his own travels and vintage hunts. It was the north star of his first store, It’s Vintage, and Atomic World’s secondhand and vintage pieces are still selected for their story, personality, and character.

One section of the store is dedicated to Atomic World’s own line of apparel and merchandise. While It’s Vintage was a go-to for vintage finds, Pua felt as though its original name limited what the brand could be. They’ve expanded to carry limited stocks of other Filipino brands and collaborate with them from time to time. Atomic World also now houses both secondhand items and pieces created in-house—all of which channel that badass Y2K femininity the store is known for.

Dipped in pink with a sprinkling of unicorns, sequins, and pop-culture fixations, Atomic World is a Barbie dreamhouse for a girl in a permanent experimental phase. Smack dab in the middle is a bed with metallic silver linens and a couch made from an assortment of stuffed animals both endearing and shabby-chic in a way only well-loved plushies can be. Its vibe is not for the faint of heart, but it’s welcoming and judgment-free like the self-assured classmate who can style an ukay find as if it were a runway piece.
Atomic World is open from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. They are located at 124 San Agustin St., Salcedo Village, Makati City. For more information, check them out on Instagram.
PATTON HQ
PATTON's branding—from their modular pieces to their industrial HQ along Makati's Jupiter Street—is anchored on versatility and utility. The space itself is inspired by modern Korean train stations that echo the brand's propensity for practicality. If the no-frills, well-travelled friend with a highly curated itinerary became a store, PATTON is what would become of them.

Exposed ceilings, steel beams, and concrete floors make up the store’s main structure, and avant-garde touches like fake grass and station seats in dressing rooms, fuzzy seats, and a PVC pipe couch add personality to the mostly gray space.
So it's no wonder that PATTON's pieces are similarly guided by a clean aesthetic without being boring. The easy-to-wear items are comfortable and uncomplicated, offering shoppers the chance to go for clothes they’ll rely on for years to come while leaving room for experimentation guided by personal habits and patterns.
It's the perfect store for certified cool cats who are effortlessly stylish even while wearing basic silhouettes. Those who love re-wearing their clothes in unique ways will relate with the brand’s philosophy. If you’re the type to love one silhouette and buy it in multiple colors, PATTON is definitely worth the visit.
PATTON HQ is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. They are located at 3F Jupiter Place, 136 Jupiter Street, Bel-Air, Makati City. For more information, check them out on Instagram.
Atelier Patty Ang
Located on the same floor as PATTON, Atelier Patty Ang is the designer’s eponymous brand and couture line. Both PATTON and Atelier Patty Ang are the creative brainchild of Ang, but these sibling concepts could not be more different from each other. Atelier Patty Ang takes on a different look and approach with its dressier pieces meant for life’s major milestones and celebrations.

Atelier Patty Ang dabbles in sophistication, but it’s got a child-like wonder that seeps through its pieces and interiors. It’s very particular and refined, but it’s also open to the laidback indulgences in life—like a comfy couch, pretty flowers, and a bowl of Chocnut for you and your friends because a sweet treat in between dressing room exploits is what little girls’ dreams are made of.
Here, you can explore Ang's past collections and catalogs, and maybe even walk away with an appointment or two for a dress-fitting worthy of life's big moments. Everyday life might not warrant fancy clothes, but significant events deserve something extra special. And Atelier Patty Ang is exactly the kind of space you could picture yourself picking out that special outfit.

In Atelier Patty Ang, premium textiles and sewing techniques are used to deliver wearable works of art, and this elevated sensibility also carries over to the store’s interior, which employs deep jewel tones on curtains, plush seats, drapes and tapestries. The space boasts a dreamy, luxurious dressing room, which is big enough for a client to see how a piece looks when worn.
Atelier Patty Ang is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. They are located at 3F Jupiter Place, 136 Jupiter Street, Bel-Air, Makati City. For more information, check them out on Instagram.
Baobab Optics HQ
.jpg?fit=cover&width=960&q=82)
Escolta is home to architectural marvels and creative spaces and with local eyewear brand Baobab’s architectural designs, it’s no wonder it fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood. Their most beautiful branch is tucked in the First United Building, an Art Deco structure that was once Manila's tallest and most prominent business address. Take the old elevator up to the fifth floor and look for green door 505 and you’ll find the joint. It might be a shaky ride up, but trust us when we say it’s worth it: it matches the energy of the building’s other equally imaginative tenants with its retro future interiors, bold hues, and even bolder frames.

But it’s not all just aesthetic for Baobab Optics HQ. It's a serious optical retail store complete with an autorefractor and other eye care equipment, so you can actually get your prescription lenses here. And as you wait for your turn with their optometrist, your eye exam will be the least of your problems; Baobab will also be challenging your personal style with all the frames you might never have considered wearing… and perhaps even your budget if you fall in love with more than one pair.
Shoppers are spoiled for choice here, be it for reading frames or stylish pairs meant to make people’s heads turn. Baobab's selection of frames are perfect for those who can't bear to slap on any old accessory; if eyes are indeed the windows to the soul, Baobab exists to frame those windows in the most creative way possible. Shopping for frames at Baobab gives you a chance to reinvent your look (pun intended). And if the new and modern Baobab can exist within the old and historical First United Building, then you can envision yourself in throwback cat-eye glasses or leopard-print frames.
Baobab Optics HQ is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. They are located at Room 505, First United Building, Escolta St., Binondo, Manila. For more information, check them out on Instagram and their website.
Purveyr Plaza
Nestled on the second floor of The Atrium in Makati, Purveyr Plaza is an open space for Filipino creatives to thrive and flourish. Its very existence in a brutalist edifice adds to the whole shopping experience. To visit, one must climb up escalators that once whirred to life daily during its heyday, all while natural light spills from up above, breathing life into a structure that has withstood the test of time.
If you’ve heard of the annual Purveyr Fair that happens every September, the Plaza is its more permanent showroom, housing wares from local brands like bag makers Carry Om, upcycling specialist Kael Street, and lighting enthusiasts Mold. Purveyr—and by extension, endeavors like the Purveyr Fair and Purveyr Plaza under its umbrella—prides itself in its curation of goods from brands and visionaries that are not afraid to push the envelope. The limited pieces and brands are rotated at the Plaza, so no two visits will exactly be alike.

Though each brand has its own personality, Purveyr Plaza seamlessly blends it all into an affair that has you jumping from one item to another. Staff also have plenty of stories to tell about the items, the creative process, and the brilliant minds behind the magic. When your friends ask you to recommend a hot spot, Purveryr Plaza is the place to go. It's easy to lose track of time admiring the building, and the hours will fly by with all the snazzy pieces to look at and try on.
Purveyr Plaza is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays to Sundays. They are located at 2F The Atrium of Makati, Makati Ave., Makati City. For more information, check them out on Instagram.
Skincarebud
Stepping foot in Skincarebud’s Makati branch is akin to entering a groovy laboratory filled with bottles, tubes, and flasks waiting to be added to cart. Unlike most minimalist stores or kiosks that deal cosmetics, Skincarebud is courageous in its use of colors. Walls of red and white tiles contrast each other and highlight its fluted center display where various makeup products reside, flanked by a mirror and sink so you can try cleansers or wash off swatches after a try-on.

It’s a chemist’s lair in the most visually enticing way possible, but it still addresses the needs of its customers. Globally-recognized and award-winning brands from America, South Korea, and Japan are available, like Cerave, Fino, and Fwee, just to name a few.
The skincare fiends and beauty lovers in your life are sure to transform into kids at a candy store when they pay a visit. The wide selection of products from countless international brands guarantees hours of browsing and swatching; ideally capped off with a cup of joe from the store’s in-house cafe, Bud Haus, just a few steps away from the make-up and skincare section.
Skincarebud Makati is open from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily. They are located at LEL Building, 1075 J. P. Rizal St, Makati City. For more information, check them out on Instagram.
Ritual
General store Ritual can be found on the fifth floor of Karravin Studios in Makati, and is committed to helping local producers while making quality goods more accessible to shoppers in the city. It’s an intentional apothecary, encased in natural elements and textiles. Goods are stored in air-tight glass jars sitting on wooden shelves, and even its ceiling is made from woven leaves. Its built-in room fragrance is the first thing that greets you; pleasant and calming like its displays and interiors. This herby aroma is the byproduct of many local ingredients’ and supplies’ scents coming together, and it had us wishing we could bottle it up and buy it.

They’re serious about eliminating the use of plastic in store, preferring vessels like jars and metal containers that may be reused instead. Ritual's concept is simple enough: purchase only what you need. If you have no use for a kilogram of beans in a recipe for one, feel free to take only what’s necessary. Same goes for the shampoo, body soap, and various sugars and spices. Even local ingredients you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere are all conveniently sold in one place. Just bring a jar–payment is based on weight. But it doesn’t end at just paying for what you need: you also get to relax as grains, beans, and powders are decanted into bags and jars as a unique form of ASMR.
Benches line the windows of the space so you can settle down, and Ritual even offers some coffee and tea from time to time depending on what they have at that time. It’s an open invite to slow down, take only what we need, and sit back in the company of friends eager to rediscover our country’s natural resources.
Twenty Third Philippines

It’s hard to believe such a magazine-perfect space can exist this deep in Chino Roces, but you can always trust Makati to surprise you. To get to Twenty Third Philippines, you’ll have to walk through a parking lot and climb a seemingly hidden flight of stairs. The store is Pinterest boards and home-decor dreams personified with its carefully staged images of the perfect dining table, living areas, and bedroom. A few seconds in and it has us letting go of a breath we didn’t even realize we were holding in.

From San Francisco to Makati, Twenty Third is Filipino interior designer Deanne Ashley Lim taking on the mission to turn Manila houses into homes. The design hub first started out as a small business focused on decor with character, but has since expanded to home furnishings and services that linked clients with timeless pieces and designs sourced from all over the globe.
The brand’s philosophy of bringing the world to one’s home is in every inch of the store, with carpets and furniture with European roots and decor and vases with Southeast Asian origins. It’s got a bit of everything, ranging from outsize furniture that serve as a room’s focal point to smaller details like accessories that inject perfection with the right amount of charm. Curation and styling are the highlight of the store, providing inspiration and possibilities for personal spaces and beyond.

Interior design fans and homebodies committed to beautifying their spaces will feel right at home in the Twenty Third space. Order an Einspanner from the store’s in-house cafe and the ideas will surely come pouring in before you know it. They also make a mean Matcha Einspanner for those who prefer tea.
Twenty Third Philippines is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. They are located at 2F YMC Building, 2320 Chino Roces Ave. Ext., Makati. For more information, check them out on Instagram.
Sunset Dry Goods

Slipping through the doors of Sunset Dry Goods & Men’s Supply in Forbestown feels like being taken back to a time when clothes weren’t just something to cover you up–when they were made with utility, durability, and craft in mind. A hyper-specific subset of people dress like this nowadays, but we’d argue that more people would, if given the chance.

Sunset Dry Goods excels in curating timeless items for daily wear from American and Japanese brands, independent craftsmen from around the world, along with solid pieces from local brands that specialize in the specific style and make. Its shelves and racks are filled with workwear essentials ranging from jeans and outerwear to shoes and eyewear. Of course, you’ll spot selvedge denim and Amekaji pieces on display, too. Think structured denim jackets and durable jeans that hold their shape sans the stiffness that would otherwise limit your movements, trusty pairs of leather shoes or classic sneakers, and maybe even a swanky pair of vintage tortoiseshell glasses you wish your cool grandpa would hand over to you someday.
Much like a stellar bottle of alcohol, Sunset Dry Goods’ wares get better with time, and we imagine its interiors will still have people staring in awe when they step into the space years down the line. Wooden floors add warmth to the space, which is made more raw and rugged with all the leather, metal, and glass details to evoke Americana of decades past.

More than just aesthetic, Sunset Dry Goods is committed to preserving the history and heritage of clothesmaking and being a hub for fellow workwear enthusiasts. Despite its intimidating and brooding vibe, there’s well-intentioned mischief and thoughtfulness only those who can rock a full denim-on-denim outfit can brandish. And before you argue that it’s all for men, we’ll counter you right here, right now: anyone and everyone is welcome as long as you give the lifestyle and philosophy a chance.
Sunset Dry Goods & Men's Supply is open from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily. They are located at Forbeswood Heights, FWH-I13, Forbestown Rd, Rizal Drive, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. For more information, check them out on Instagram.
Tropik Beatnik
Tropik Beatnik is a pocket of whimsy in a world that can sometimes take itself too seriously. Previously only available online and in select pop-ups, the local brand now has a physical store aptly called the Summer Playhouse, where it supplies nuggets of joy in small cardboard boxes decked in funky stickers your childhood self would collect by the pages.
A neon sign beckons you to enter, and then you’re greeted by splashes of color, vibrant beads strung together, and displays that will make your eyes go wide with excitement. The handmade clay jewelry borrows from familiar scenes and icons from Filipino culture, like kakanin, bahay kubo, and fish from summers spent by the river. Tropik Beatnik also fashions statement baubles featuring beads in a kaleidoscope of colors that are sure to start conversations when you wear them.

Apparel in equally fun tones and shapes are also available in the space, and trying them on feels like being in your own summer photo shoot. Even their mirrors have hand-painted borders—a unique item that has garnered the brand major love and interest in past pop-ups.
Tropik Beatnik is tucked away in a Mandaluyong neighborhood, and its seatmates in the compound are soon opening to serve those looking for coffee, bread, and goods from fellow creatives. For now, this cool retail store is open by appointment, but a visit to this mini tropical paradise will for sure be a welcome respite from all the dullness in your life.

Tropik Beatnik is open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. They are located at 727 Lunas St., Brgy. Malamig, Mandaluyong and you can send them a message on Instagram to schedule a visit.
