This Phone Is a Minimalist's Dream Come True

No visible holes on its screen.

( “Less is more” is the minimalist’s credo, and applying it to your lifestyle can involve a bunch of things.

It can also influence your visual or aesthetic preferences. Minimalists like uncluttered spaces, uncomplicated architecture, and simple yet functional fashion. And when it comes to technology, they prefer gadgets with an ergonomic design and clean lines, without unnecessary embellishments.

Minimalists may have found their ideal smartphone in the OPPO Find X. Aside from having one of the most uncluttered form factors we’ve seen, the Find X is all about combining understated beauty with functionality.

You might find yourself wondering where the camera is upon seeing the phone for the first time. The front and rear lenses are hidden using 3D stealth cameras. Tapping the camera icon reveals a 25-megapixel selfie shooter and an AI-enhanced, 3D shooter rear camera. This protects the lenses from getting scratched and removes any physical obstructions from the main phone screen. The end product: a smartphone with a panoramic arc screen and boasts of an effective 93.8-percent screen-to-body ratio and wider than usual screen real estate.

The Find X also has a lightning-fast Snapdragon 845 processor with 8GB of RAM, making the camera fast, the battery charge time quicker, and touch-screen use smoother. And with the phone’s 256 GB storage, it’ll be a while until you have to move files to free up phone space.

While the Find X is already packed with a 3730 mAh battery, OPPO still made sure that won't run out of power. The phone comes with the OPPO VOOC flash charging system that can charge the Find X up to 75% in 30 minutes—that's four times faster than conventional chargers. This technology uses five levels of protective layering to ensure that the phone will not overheat while charging.

Another feature worth mentioning is the Find X’s ergonomic design. The phone fits well in the palm of the hand and, despite being on the large side, doesn’t feel overwhelming in one's grip. The Find X is also the first Android smartphone to feature 3D structured light technology in its face recognition, which is 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition. No buttons to press or passwords to plug in.

The OPPO Find X is now available for pre-order (from July 5 to August 1) in selected stores nationwide; claiming is on August 11.
