P-Noy to SONA critics: "May ginagawa kaming tama"
(SPOT.ph) President Noynoy Aquino answered the critics of his State of the Nation Address on July 25 in a one-on-one interview with GMA News’ Jessica Soho aired yesterday July 26. Responding to comments that many were left wanting after his speech, the President explained that it was impossible to talk about every issue during his address: "Napakaraming advocacies na sinasabing kailangan ipasok mo. So paano mo bang ipapasok yun lahat? (So many people are pushing for a particular advocacy. How will you fit everything in?)."
He also explained his vision of "tuwid na daan"-a platform he has been pushing for since day one. "(My) vision is ang demokrasya sa akin ang pinakamamagandang sistema. Magbibigay ka ng gobyerno na umaandar. Ano ba yung vision? What’s my vision? That the country’s funds are used properly. My vision is that I don’t accept what is happening and that I believe we can change it and that we already are)," he said.
Aquino also cited a news report saying there were less protesters during his SONA this year. Kasi may ginagawa kaming tama (Vendors at the SONA said that protesters decreased this year and their problem was they weren’t able to sell all their merchandise. Is that not a sign that less people are complaining? It’s because we are doing something right)."
