DOT launches "Pilipinas, Tara Na!" video featuring 57 of the country’s top stars

(SPOT.ph) In an attempt to boost domestic travel, the Department of Tourism is launching three promotional music videos under the slogan "Pilipinas, Tara Na!" reports GMA News. Fifty-seven of the country's top musical artists and personalities are featured in the videos-the first of which was aired at noon today, August 11, via DOT's Facebook fan page.

According to the government's official website, the three songs are updated versions of the hit 2004 campaign, "Tara Na, Biyahe Tayo!" which also featured a roster of stars. This new promotion, according to Manila Bulletin, was conceptualized by the same team. Some of the celebrities included in the video are: Dolphy, Nikki Gil, Yeng Constantino, Pepe Smith, Rivermaya, Ogie Olcasid, and Jed Madela.

Apart from helping advance the economy, Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim said the boost in tourism from the videos will "contribute to the improvement of income and standard living of all Filipinos who are already employed or will be employed in the travel and hospitality business."
