Various news outfits reported late Monday morning that the University of the Philippines-Diliman’s Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business (VSB) (formerly College of Business Administration) received a bomb threat, prompting the Quezon City Police District to respond by evacuating the area.
Building administrator Rosana Espiritu said that she received a text message at around 7 a.m., alerting her to a "ticking bomb." According to her, a similar text was received by the college’s student council chairman.
After an hour of searching the premises with K-9 bomb-sniffing dogs, the threat turned out to be negative.
According to a report by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, classes and scheduled exams were not interrupted.
