There are plenty of fun things to do in Manila that don’t require you to spend hours under the blazing sun or relentless rain (all in the span of one day). All you really need is a lot of enthusiasm.

Learn to smoothly leap off walls and jump over boundaries like your favorite superhero at Ninja Academy’s indoor parkour facility. The Academy offers flexible rates for first-timers (P350/day) and students (P290/day), or you can sign up for a 10-session pass valid for two months (P3,150). If you haven’t already given SM’s refurbished ice skating rinks a try, now is the best time to start. Head to the mall early so you can make full use of all that unlimited skating for P390. Feeling a bit more adventurous? Shell out P500 for a hockey game, with an additional P400 per hour for gear rental (walk-in).

The Camp at Taguig City is, by no means, a replacement for a full football pitch. It is, however, perfect for indoor recreational play, especially when it’s rainy out and you’re itching to get on the field. Sign up for an annual membership or reserve a two-hour slot via their website (prices may vary depending on the day). The venue also has other facilities, including a gym and boxing ring.
Ride a magic carpet

Grab your friends (and your cameras) and head to Art in Island, Cubao—the biggest 3D art museum in Asia. Feast your eyes on 3D art painted all over the walls and floors by Korean master painters who flew in just for this project. You'll get a kick out of the mind-blowing optical illusions with photos taken from a certain angle! Tickets are at P500 for adults, P400 for students with school ID, and free for children who are below three feet tall. Shoes aren’t allowed inside, so we suggest you bring socks to keep your feet from feeling cold.
