We say goodbye to summer (for now) and reminisce the fun times at #MyNesteaBeach in Boracay.
(SPOT.ph) Oh, Boracay in the summer. Once you get past the crowds and inconvenient algae attack on its pristine shores, arguably nothing compares to the magic of being there at that time of the year. And there’s that notorious #LaBoracay hashtag in recent years that peppers the island experience with a generous amount of frenzy: party after party, beautiful strangers, nasty hangovers, duck faces, selfie sticks, and missing flip-flops.
Sadly, all things must come to an end—including summer and the euphoria at this year's Nestea Beach. If you missed out on the fun or just want to see what you can look forward to for next year, here's what went down at the hottest beach party of the year.
It's like a postcard coming to life.
The appeal of a foam party is never lost on an island like Boracay.
Partygoers watched the sunset and danced to the funky tunes spun by Badkiss and the DJs of Manila’s Black Market.
Speaking of that sunset, we already miss it.
Local club Epic teamed up with Manila’s Valkyrie to fly in international acts Sander Van Doorn and Knife Party on two separate performance nights.
Party responsibly! Check out these volunteers doing their own share of tidying up.
You can even chill and enjoy a massage by the shore.
Beach volleyball is a hallmark of the annual Nestea Beach tradition.
There is that common wish among out-of-towners at the end of each Boracay trip, usually uttered on the boat ride back to the airport or in the departure halls of Caticlan or Kalibo, for a vacation away from their vacation. Or an extra day in bed to decompress before facing reality. This particular six-day sojourn proved to be different, energizing even. It’s the same Boracay summer magic but with a great deal of balance—something all of us #LaBoracay-plagued city folk can learn from, missing flip-flops and all.
