The infinity pool and beach

The Bellevue Resort opened in Panglao Island in 2012, the first five-star resort at the time. From Tagbilaran Airport, it takes about 40 minutes to get there—perfect for a short nap before you get to the good stuff. Once there, you're immediately greeted by a stunning 250 meter-wide beachfront, punctuated with bright blue umbrellas by the shore. If you'd prefer to skip the sand between your toes, the resort also has an infinity pool that includes a kid's pool, an adult pool, and a dive pool.

For the sweet tooth

When it comes to food options, you can have your fill of international buffet and a la carte options at Lamian World Cuisine. If you want to dine al fresco, Marea offers international fare with a scenic view of the garden, poolside, and beach. However, the Bellevue Hotels' Food and Beverage Manager Keith Dominic Pereira encourages tourists to give the local Boholano cuisine a try.

Speaking of which, Bohol offers enough sights, history, and culture to warrant a tour around the friendly and hospitable island. Bellevue's tour desk is the result of a partnership with the local government, which gives tourists a glimpse at the Chocolate Hills and the rare tarsier, a leisurely cruise down the Loboc River, a visit to the popular Bohol Bee Farm, and a throwback to history at the Baclayon Church and the Blood Compact site.

Fancy a bike tour?

Choose among the following: vehicle rental (price depends on the type of vehicle and destination), a one-day countryside tour package, or a Panglao Island tour package. The latter two is best for large groups, and includes entrance fees, sight-seeing, pasalubong shopping, and a professional tour guide. The hotel also offers daily activities, including beach soccer, a game of frisbee by the shore, or you can even go for some watersports like jet-skiing, kayaking, and snorkeling in the pristine waters.
