Boracay Beats Palawan in "Best Islands in the World" List

Do you agree?

( Every October, U.S.-based luxury and lifestyle travel online magazine Condé Nast Traveler asks its readers to vote for the 30 Best Islands in the World. And the Philippines have been dominating this list in the last few years with our best bets. We have more than 7,000 islands, so that's just thousands and thousands of chances.

Boracay (Best Island in the World)

Palawan has been beating the pack until 2016 when the top spot was occupied by Boracay, which was at 15th place in 2015. For 2017, Boracay retains its position as number one, but Palawan drops a notch to third place. Cebu trails from behind and occupies the second position (from ranking fifth last year).

Cebu (Second Best Island in the World)

Palawan (Third Best Island in the World)

The Readers' Choice Awards, now on its 30th year, collates votes and ratings from more than 300,000 travelers from around the world. "Authentic, personalized, and unexpected" are the words that describe the 30 locations included in the list. Our three islands upstaged Mallorca in Spain, Mykonos in Greece, and even Bermuda.
