This Intramuros Walking Tour Is For Your Inner Photography Buff
Fascinating history plus gorgeous architecture, check!
(SPOT.ph) These days, it seems like everyone is an aspiring photographer, thanks to Instagram. It's hard not to think of it as something that's supposed to represent your aesthetic, after all, and sometimes it can be a challenge to find just the right subject. This February, you can pepper your IG feed with places that are rich with character through InstaMuros. The three-hour photo walk lets you explore some of the most important destinations within Manila's Walled City, including Plaza San Luis, San Agustin Church, Manila Cathedral, and Fort Santiago. The tour, organized by Wander Manila, is on February 24 at 3 p.m. Meet-up is at Plaza San Luis in Intramuros, Manila.
If you're more of a history buff, there's also the Manila History Walk, where guides paint a picture of Manila of the past while you walk around Intramuros and Luneta. This crash course on the history of the Philippines' capital is on February 23 at 3 p.m.
For an in-depth tour that combines historical facts from the Battle of Manila in 1945, there's Stories from the War: Manila Transitio 1945. It's not only a walking tour, but also a display of performance pieces based on first-hand accounts from one of the darkest chapters in the history of Manila. This is scheduled for March 3, 3 p.m.
