(SPOT.ph) Escape rooms entered the scene only fairly recently, but they've already established themselves as a leveled-up version of gaming with friends and family: Forging (or breaking) relationships even faster than Monopoly, dare we say it. So if you're looking for something unconventional to do this Father's Day, then you can challenge your old man to a high-stakes game over at any Mystery Manila branch. They're letting dads play for free from June 15 to 16—just make sure he brings a photo of himself with his child, and is joined by at least two other paying players, to avail of the promo.
The more players there are, the cheaper it is. For two companions, each will pay P550; for three companions, each will pay P500; for four companions, each will pay P450; for five companions, each will pay P400.
Dads can choose whatever challenge they want to play. Mystery Manila rooms will transport you to a lot of different worlds, from horror sets like Debby's Doll, science mysteries like Pym's Particle, suspense thrillers like Murder in the Mafia and more.
Escape rooms have guidelines and rules simple enough to follow for everybody in the group. Game masters will lock you into a room—the setup of which will depend on the story you want to play. From there, it's up to you and your team to find a way out based on the clues inside the playing field—all within the set time limit. Nothing terrible happens if you don't solve the puzzle in time, but it makes for a fun story to tell either way.
