WATCH: Talk to a Kapre, Sirena, and Nuno at Tipsy Tales
Do you dare enter this world?
(SPOT.ph) For most of us, watching a theatrical show means buying expensive tickets, dressing up, and sitting through a live performance for around three hours. There's a clear border between the stage and the audience, and as viewers, that's a line we can't cross. But at Tipsy Tales, a new attraction at Eastwood Mall in Quezon City, a theatrical experience is a totally different thing.
There's no sitting for hours here, and putting on your running shoes is highly recommended. Think escape room plus Choose Your Own Adventure—only the story isn't Western, but centers on Filipino folklore. You're at the center of the narrative, which starts at your grandmother's house and eventually leads to a magical forest. If you're lucky, you can get out of this world—called Lambana—in no time. Choose well and you can meet fantastical creatures like the nuno sa punso and the sirena, and go on a fun-filled adventure. But do be careful as you might also encounter cunning characters.
"I think people should come here because I think it's the only place to immerse yourselves in the most amazing cultural adventure you'll ever experience. I think there's nothing like this where you'll get to really experience folklore come alive," says Wayne Yeung, co-founder of Tipsy Tales.
Here’s a sneak peek of what to expect:
Tipsy Tales is at 4/F Eastwood Mall, Libis, Quezon City. Tickets for Lambana, which is priced at P2,000, are available through firstname.lastname@example.org or Tipsy Tales' website.
