(SPOT.ph) If you're a frequent traveler, there are probably two things that get you going: a bucket list of places to visit around the world and promo fares to your favorite destinations. And Cebu Pacific, a local low-cost airline, is teasing us with a big seat sale announcement: "9.9 is a really special sale," they told selected members of the press. This seat sale promo happens on September 9 at exactly 12:00 a.m.
Not much has been revealed, aside from the fact that discounted plane tickets from Manila to domestic and international destinations are up for grabs. Travel deals for hotels, in-flight meals, and baggage allowance are also part of the promo. More information will be released through Cebu Pacific's social media channels on September 8.
For now, here are some tips:
- List down backup travel dates. Just because promo seats run out fast, that doesn’t mean you’re going to give up.
- Have everything ready—your full name, birthday, e-mail address, mobile number, passport number, passport’s expiry number, credit card number, and so on. Pro tip: You can save these on your laptop’s notepad, all set to copy-and-paste by September 9.
- If you’re traveling as a group, let the one with the fastest Internet connection do the booking.
- Lastly, set up your alarm and drink some coffee. It will be a long night.
UPDATE (September 8, 6:30 p.m.): Cebu Pacific, through their Facebook page, revealed the list of destinations with available discounted seats.
Different routes will be on sale every eight hours on September 9: to local destinations (except Batanes and Marinduque) from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.; to East Asia from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and to ASEAN countries, Dubai, and Australia from 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Sale runs until September 10, when all remaining seats are up for grabs.
