Here's Where You Can Bring Your Science-Loving Nieces and Nephews

Start them young!

( Being an aunt, an uncle, or a godparent is one of the best things in the world—you can goof around with the little ones for as long as you can, then return them to their parents who are stuck doing less fun things. And by this, we mean: changing their diapers, making them eat veggies, and putting them through college.

With this collaboration between the Mind Museum and Robinsons Malls, you can "borrow" your siblings' or friends' kids again and enjoy an afternoon of geeking out on science, magic, and dinosaurs. The Mind Museum is bringing the traveling shows Dino Play: Explore the Mind-Blowing World of Dinosaur and Science Circus: Step Right Up! to selected Robinsons Malls around the country from December to September 2020. The participating branches are Robinsons Place Naga, Robinsons Galleria South, and Robinsons Place Iligan for the dino-themed exhibition; and Robinsons Place Ilocos, Robinsons Tuguegarao, Robinsons Place Antipolo, Robinsons Metro East, and Robinsons Place Lipa for the science show on optical illusions.

Dino Play first opened at The Mind Museum in 2016. ARchives

Dino Play has several "nests" that serve as hotspots for dinosaur-related activities. This includes the Dino Dig, where your nieces and nephews (or even you!) can dig for dinosaur bones and fulfill dreams of becoming paleontologists; the Dino Lab, which is equipped with tools for inspecting fossils; and life-sized dinosaur eggs, which are perfect for taking photos.

Ring One or Deception Perception reveals the truth behind the power of mirrors and illusion; Ring Two or Pieces of Incredible Engineering lets toddlers assemble blocks, gears, and cogs; and Ring Three or Encounters with the Masters has booths on optical illusion, puzzles, and patterns.

The schedule for Science Circus is:
