We're Still Reeling From a Virtual Ride on the Space Shuttle
Since you can't go there yet, Enchanted Kingdom is bringing their rides to you.
(SPOT.ph) Let's face it: It'll take a while before we'll be able to go out and just chill at our favorite spots in the Metro, theme parks included. If you are missing that heart-stopping feeling that comes from a roller-coaster loop or getting wet from a water ride, Enchanted Kingdom has the next best thing: You can now find their most popular rides online!
The theme park located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna is best known for its thrilling Space Shuttle ride, in which the roller coaster slowly starts with a lift to a height equivalent to an 11-storey building, before going down and approaching the loops at full speed. (Yes, it's the ride that you could easily spot whenever you drive along the South Luzon Expressway.)
Get ready to scream along when you watch this video:
According to their website, the ride turns guests "six times—three times forward and three times backward." For those who haven't tried this ride yet, this clip might just convince you to make a beeline for it when the park reopens.
Also up on their Facebook page is their Amazon-inspired Jungle Log Jam ride. A maximum of four people sit in a "log" that goes up and down the slopes—guaranteed to make a splash in the water! The best part of this virtual experience? You won't get wet!
Not a fan of heights? You can opt to watch the clip for the Disk-O-Magic ride. It offers a unique 360-degree view of the entire theme park.
Here's a short clip where you can get a glimpse of all three virtual rides:
Enchanted Kingdom opened its doors in October 19, 1995 and is known for the aforementioned rides and its mascot, Eldar the Wizard. They began a 10-year expansion plan in 2016, which includes the construction of the flight-motion simulator Agila: The EKsperience. The theme park is currently closed in accordance with the government's quarantine guidelines.
