(SPOT.ph) Tourist spots in the Philippines are slowly reopening after months of closure. Bed and breakfasts in Tagaytay, dive resorts in Batangas, and famous parks in Baguio have started welcoming guests again, jumpstarting local tourism. Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, is also geared up to welcome back kids-at-heart starting on Saturday, October 17.

This reopening was approved and endorsed by several government agencies including the Department of Tourism, Department of Trade and Industry, and Department of Labor and Employment. The theme park, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in July, is also implementing a number of stringent measures to ensure the safety of guests and staff.

Here's what you should know about the reopening of Enchanted Kingdom:

Who can visit?

Only guests who are 21 to 59 years old are allowed to enter the premises. The park is also at a reduced capacity of 50%, and this includes rides and attractions, food and merchandise outlets, restrooms, and back-of-house facilities. Physical distancing of one meter is implemented at all times.

They'll be checking your temperature upon entry. Plus, guests and staff are required to fill out a health form.

How can tickets be purchased?

Cashless and contactless transactions are preferred through their Makati sales office, front gates, online travel agent partners (Klook, KKDay, SM Tickets, Ticketworld, Traveloka, Ticketnet, KTX), and the soon-to-launch EK Online Store. Advanced booking is also preferred since walk-ins are limited.

Tickets that expired during the temporary closure (March 13 to October 16), can be rebooked without fees. Just call their Makati Sales Office (8830-3535 local 31/35) or e-mail reservations@enchantedkingdom.ph at least three days before your scheduled visit.

What do guests need to bring?

Face masks and full face shields are required at all times while you're inside Enchanted Kingdom. When getting on a ride, guests may remove their face shields and leave them in designated storage bins. It is also advised that you bring your own alcohol-based sanitizers, tissues, face towels, and wet wipes.

Will all attractions reopen?

Majority of Enchanted Kingdom's rides and attractions are available. Fireworks displays, however, are temporarily suspended. Food outlets and gift shops are also open, but cashless and contractless transactions are preferred.

What are the operating hours?

The park is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday only from October 17 to December 13. They're expected to return to daily operations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from December 14 to January 3, 2021.

The theme park has been closed since the start of community quarantine in March. In June, they uploaded videos of their most popular rides on their YouTube and Facebook accounts. Who knows, this clip might just convince you to try these thrilling rides once they reopen!
