Japanese Theme Park Offers Work-From-Ferris Wheel Service
Remote work doesn't have to be boring.
(SPOT.ph) Since the pandemic started, most office employees around the world shifted to a work-from-home scheme to limit possibilities of exposure to the coronavirus. Big companies like Google and Twitter have also announced that they're implementing remote working indefinitely. But if you're in Tokyo, you have the option to work from an amusement park just in case you need a change of scenery. Check out Yomiuriland, a theme park in Japan offering an Amusement Workation package starting on October 15.
The service allows Japan residents to rent a poolside space (with a table, two chairs, and two deck chairs) for a whole day. This costs 1,900 yen on weekdays and 2,000 yen on weekends, which includes use of WiFi and electric outlets, entry to the ferris wheel (four laps), and access to the hot bath facility called "Oka no Yu." The ferris wheel is also equipped with high-power Internet just in case you have to attend a virtual meeting while mid-air. After a whole day's work, you can enjoy the rest of the park until 5 p.m.
Yomiuriland is at Yanokuchi, Inagi-shi, Tokyo, Japan. For more information, visit Yomiuriland's website.
