You Can Now Go Straight From Cebu Beaches to Sorsogon Beaches

Bookmark this new ferry line.

(SPOT.ph) If backpacking across the Philippines is on your bucket list, then take note of this new ferry line. There is now a boat you can take that goes straight from northern Cebu to the the southern tip of Luzon mainland. To be more specific, that's from Bogo City, Cebu to Matnog, Sorsogon. Yup, someday you can go straight from the beaches of Cebu to the beaches of Sorsogon.

Which Cebu ferries can you take to Bicol?

The local government of Bogo announced the new Lite Ferries route online. Usually, the old ferry route required a stopover in Masbate Island, but this one is a direct route between Cebu and Bicol—arguably making it the shortest by-sea connection between the Visayas tourism hub and mainland Luzon.

The Lite ferry route will take around nine hours one way. If you're coming from Bogo City, a ferry leaves Polambato Wharf at 12 midnight every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The ferry leaves Matnog at the same time every Wednesday, Friday, and Monday.
