Baguio's Famous Christmas Village Is Now Open
Fully vaccinated travelers are now allowed to visit the City of Pines.
(SPOT.ph) Pandemic or not, Filipinos are all about decking the halls, reuniting with friends and family, and going all out every Christmas season. And if you want to experience winter wonderland (or at least, something close to it) locally, you can hop on a bus and head to one of the most popular annual holiday destinations—the annual Baguio Country Club Christmas Village in Baguio City, Benguet.
The holiday attraction is open daily from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. until January 9, 2022. Entrance fee ranges from P70 to P100 depending on what time of the day you're visiting. This year's theme is "Colours of Christmas."
What to know when visiting the Baguio Country Club (BCC) Christmas Village:
Only fully vaccinated persons above 18 years old are allowed to enter the Christmas Village. You need to present your vaccination card or vaccination certificate as well as your Baguio Visita registration with QR-coded Tourist Pass to be admitted. Baguio residents, on the other hand, need only to present an identification card with address.
Since health and safety protocols like regular disinfection of the premises every hour and phsical distancing are implemented, Christmas Village-goers are encouraged to book their tickets through BCC's Christmas Village website.
There will be eight one-hour schedules per day on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum venue capacity of 100 people per slot. Visitors are required to arrive 15 minutes before their schedule. There's a 15-minute window time; otherwise, your slot will be forfeited and payment shall not be refunded. Bringing of food and drinks inside the Christmas Village and wearing of rubber slippers are not allowed.
For the 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. time slots, entrance is at P70 for locals and P75 for non-locals. Discounted rates are from P45 to P50 for senior citizens. Rates are from P90 (local) to P100 (non-local) for the 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. schedule. Discounted rates are from P70 to P75 for seniors.
