(SPOT.ph) For many, pets have become the ultimate plus-one, tagging along everywhere in tote and on leash alike, from malls and hotels to restaurants. And now, we can start adding museums to that list.

This month, the Ayala Museum is opening its doors to your furry pals. Dubbed Pawseum Day, this one-day-only gathering is the pawfect opportunity to bond with your furbabies and learn something too. Here's what to expect.

Check out Ayala Museum's Pawseum Day this April:

On April 26, in celebration of National Pet Month, the Ayala Museum is opening parts of its exhibits to you and your furry companions from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for its first-ever Pawseum day.

Think of it as the ultimate pet bonding date: you and your furbaby get to explore how animals have shaped history—while picking up a few new things along the way. Expect talks and other interactive pet-friendly activities centered on responsible pet care and animal advocacy, in partnership with Biyaya Animal Care.

Aside from the event festivities on the museum's ground floor, you and your pet can also explore The Diorama Experience of Philippine History exhibit on the second floor. Plus, there will also be a curated set of merchants and food vendors where you can shop for treats and pet accessories that's bound to make your dog's tail wag and your cat purr with delight.

How to join Ayala Museum's Pawseum Day

Pre-registration is required to join in on all the fun. Slots are strictly limited for this event to ensure a safe experience for you, your furry friend, and the museum. Register online to secure your passes. Tickets are P300 and include a pass for you and one pet to explore the event festivities on the ground floor, as well as access to the exhibit, The Diorama Experience of Philippine History, on the second floor.

Make sure to keep your pets leashed or in carriers at all times. And while we know pets come in all shapes and sizes, only dogs and cats are allowed during the event.

Don't worry. You can still come to the event even if you don't have a pet. Pet allies and animal lovers without furbabies of their own can also join in on the fun, learn more about animal care, and the fight for animal rights on April 26. Tickets to Pawseum Day without a pet pass can be purchased for P200.

Pawseum Day is at the Ayala Museum on April 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, visit the Ayala Museum's Facebook page.
