(SPOT.ph) If you’re planning to head up to Baguio right after work, you know that the cross-city traffic to reach major terminals in Cubao, Pasay, or PITX can feel like an odyssey.
For anyone based in Makati or BGC, however, the trip from the metro to the mountains will soon be smoother: a direct bus route connecting One Ayala, Makati, and Baguio City launches Thursday, October 15. Solid North Transit, Inc. is launching this new offering, giving weekend warriors a seamless gateway to the north straight from the central business district.
Before plotting your Baguio itinerary, take a look at the initial trip details announced for the upcoming route.
Here’s what you need to know about Solid North Transit's new Makati–Baguio bus service:
Starting October 15, the new route will provide a direct connection between One Ayala and Baguio.
For now, four daily scheduled departures run in each direction. It gives commuters convenient options for early-morning departures or post-work night trips:
One Ayala to Baguio: 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m.
Baguio to One Ayala: 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.
One-way tickets cost P850 per seat. All trips run on air-conditioned Deluxe buses designed for long-haul comfort and sleeping through hours-long provincial journeys. Each bus has reclining seats, free WiFi, built-in USB charging ports, and an onboard restroom, so you won’t have to wait for a stopover for a bathroom break.

How to book your ticket for the new Makati-Baguio bus route
Online reservations for this route opened on Friday, October 9, so you can already purchase your ticket for the next long weekend. Passengers can easily book their seats in advance on the Solid North Transit, Inc. website. One-way or round-trip tickets are currently available up to two months in advance.
Payment options include debit and credit cards, as well as QRPH. You can select the exact seat you want on the bus, so it’s best to book early for a prime window spot.
