Get ready to Run For Your Wife! The latest production of Repertory Philippines opens on April 10, 8 p.m., at OnStage Greenbelt and runs through May 3. It tells the story of London cab driver John Smit who has two wives, two lives, and a very precise schedule for juggling them both: with one wife at home in Streatham and another at home in Wimbledon, and with occupants of the flat upstairs at the latter location. Trouble brews when Smith is mugged and ends up in hospital, where both of his addresses surface, causing both the Streatham and Wimbledon police to investigate.

Ang Sayaw ng Daliwang Kaliwaang Paa tells the story of a college student who decides to stalk his professor after getting bad grades in literature class and finds out that she works as a dance instructor at night. Barber’s Tales, starring Eugene Domingo and Iza Calzado, is about a widow who is forced to take her late husband's job as community barber during the end of Marcos era. Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita is about a 12-year old Anita who falls in love with the new woman in town.

Step on to the next level of hip-hop at the Margherita Vasselli Hip-Hop Workshop, happening on all Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until May 10 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The Italian choreographer and Hip-Hop International Elite Judge will enrich advanced hip-hop students' vocabularies in New Style Hip-Hop.

 

Vasselli started her dance training at the age of six in ballet, contemporary, and modern dance. In 1999, she started studying hip-hop with Italian and foreign choreographers. She also became a teacher in dance schools and a Hip-Hop Presenter in Italy, Europe, and Brazil. In 2003, she started to work with Hip-Hop International.

 

Rates are priced at P700 for a single class, P1,000 for a walk-in rate, P2,600 for a four-class package, and P4,000 for an eight-class package.
