Watch captivating dance performances at dance.MNL from June 21 to 26 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Aliw Theater, and Star Theater. This biennial festival brings classical, modern, and contemporary creations to the stage. The inaugural festival will feature 11 performances, a two-week dance intensive, and a conference, gathering more than 500 dance professionals in the Metro. Ticket prices range from P206 to P1,030.

This weekend, check out SikatLokal, a one-day bazaar happening on June 25, 10 a.m. at A SPACE Greenbelt. The event will feature booths from local food and lifestyle brands. Shop for fresh designs of leather and leatherette sandals from Nomadic Way, handstamped jewelry from Istorya, dog crates and pet beds from Bow House, and many more! Entrance is P100.

Rock out to Green Day's American Idiot, a high-octane stage adaptation of the Grammy Award-winning album. The story revolves around Johnny, Will, and Tunny, three disgruntled young men searching for more thrills in life. An epic rock opera, American Idiot the Musical features little dialogue and rides the edgy beats and lyrics of Green Day's energy-filled album to execute the story line. Catch it from June 24 to July 10 at the Globe Iconic Store. Tickets are priced at P2,090.

Ayala Museum launches Art Beat, a fundraising initiative that provides free museum tours for public school children and medical assistance for children who need open-heart surgeries. This program sets the stage for a series of intimate conversations between artists and creative professionals on their love for art, passion projects, and causes close to their heart. The first run is Heart-to-HeART: A Chat with Plet Bolipata and Elmer Borlongan, happening on June 26, 3 p.m. The husband-and-wife duo will talk about their artistic (and romantic) relationship, as well as stories about CASA San Miguel, the Museum of Community Heritage, and how it gives back to the people of San Antonio, Zambales. Donations are welcome.
Ballet comes to Urban Ashram Yoga through BalletWorks! BalletWorks is a dance and movement studio, and they are thrilled to share their love for dance and wellness with Urban Yogis. Don't miss their Ballet Open House on June 24, 25, and 27. Through their classes, you will build physical strength and stamina, learn proper dance and movement technique, hone your creativity and intuition, develop confidence, and maintain overall mind and body well-being. Don't miss DITO: Bahay ng Sining's Notewordy, a spoken word event, on June 24, 7 p.m. At this open mic event, the audience will give their feedback on each spoken word artists' performance. Cheer them on, bring them down, or just show some appreciation for the work that they do. If you want to experience being more than just a member of the audience, if you've ever wanted to thank an artist for saying something that you really neeed to hear, then this event is for you. Catch Green Glass Door's Dance Until You Shatter Yourself on June 22 and 24, 8 p.m., at Pineapple Lab. This one-man durational movement piece is an exploration of the individual's pursuit of truth throughout one's lifetime. It examines the limitations of physical, mental, and spiritual endurance and asks the question, "When every meaning is stripped away, what is there left to believe?" Tickets are priced at P800.
