Ballet Philippines kicks off its 47th season with Firebird and Other Ballets from August 19 to 21 at the CCP Main Theater. Watch the timeless tale of love and adventure that's set to Igor Stravinsky’s enchanting and groundbreaking musical score. Choreographer George Birkadze brings a fresh approach to the mystical Firebird, reimagining the Russian folk tale into a Philippine setting, and featuring international guest stars with a live orchestra on select shows. Ticket prices range from P412 to P3,090.

For two weekends, Ballet Manila takes Martin Lawrence's Rebel to the stage. Catch it from August 19 to 21, and August 27 and 28 at the Aliw Theater. Rebel is a symbolic retelling in music and dance of the events that led to the 1986 EDSA Revolution. Loosely based on the classic Spartacus, it explores the themes of bravery and the struggle for freedom. Tickets are priced at P1,545, P1,030, and P515.
