Based on a popular comic strip, Annie opened as a musical in 1977 and ran for a record-setting six years at the former Alvin Theater in midtown-Manhattan, New York. Since then, it has become popular and won many awards with well-known musical numbers that include "Tomorrow," "Maybe," and "Hard-Knock Life." Comic Odyssey is celebrating Batman's 77th anniversary with Batman Day on October 1 at its Bonifacio High Street, Alabang Town Center, and Robinsons Galleria branches. Everyone who will drop by will receive a copy of BATMAN #1 Batman Day Special Edition for free while supplies last. At the Bonifacio High Street branch, therewill also be artist sketching sessions, a Batman Lego display, Batman Trivia contest (with prizes!), and a personal appearance by Batman himself with the rest of the crew from Justice PH.

9 Works Theatrical stages Tick, Tick ... Boom!, a musical by Jonathan Larson who created Rent, on selected dates from October 1 to 23 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium. This autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson is the story of a composer and the sacrifices he made to achieve his big break in theatre. Containing 14 songs, 10 characters, three actors, and a band, the production takes you on the composer's journey that led to a Broadway blockbuster. Ticket prices start at P940.

Get your tickets to the 2nd Danish Film Festival, running from September 29 to October 2 at the Shang Cineplex in Shangri-La Plaza. Denmark will, yet again, be showcasing some finely curated films with themes from child superheroes to conspiracy theories to your typical family style conflicts.
