Anytime is a great time for a vacation, but sadly, resources can sometimes be limited. But who says you need to spend a lot for some R&R? Here are some out-of-town vacation ideas under P2,500 that you can try.
For a budget weekend getaway at the beach, head over to Crystal Beach Resort in San Narciso, Zambales. It only takes around P300 to get from Cubao to San Narciso and another P15 for a tricycle ride to the resort. Renting out a tent with a mat and pillow plus entrance fee is only around P500. They have a wide array of facilities and things to do from playing sports to just chilling at the beach.
Have you always wanted to try surfing? The waves in Baler during the “ber” months are ideal for beginners. For P500, you can travel to Baler by bus. Tricycle rides are a bit expensive, so it’s advisable to take a jeep which is just P8 for a 10-minute ride. At The Circle Hostel, the going rate to rent a hammock starts at P450. Overall, you can stay for two days by spending just under P2,000. Food in the area is cheap; you can have a full meal at P100.
Another surfing destination in the country in La Union. The cheapest bus ride from Metro Manila is about P400. You can stay at Flotsam & Jetsam for about P700 a night on weekdays and P800 on weekends. Two nights can already cost you up to P2,200 including your trip back to the city, but don’t worry about food since the hostel provides free breakfast. In addition, some of the food choices around the area are only P50 to P100.
Traveling from Metro Manila to Pansol is only around P100 by bus. When you get there, stay at Makiling Highlands Resort for less than P1,000. They have several pools and a selection of nice rooms to make your getaway more enjoyable. That’s only a little over P1,000 for the trip and room for two.
If you want a more private and romantic out-of-town trip, head to Modern Peak Suites & Private Resort in Antipolo where an overnight stay for two with free breakfast in a standard room is just P2,000. They also offer different massage services and foot spa that range from P150 to P300.
