Catch Lea Salonga in Fun Home, opening on November 10, 8 p.m., at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza. Fun Home is the most awarded and acclaimed musical of 2015, winning five Tony Awards including Best Musical. It tells the story of graphic novelist Alison, who dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind father whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. The traveling Italian Film Festival, Moviemov: Italian Cinema Now, makes a stop in Manila from November 12 to 16 at the Cinematheque Centre Manila. The festival pays tribute to contemporary Italian cinema by traveling to Asia, and screening the various works of art created by Italy’s impressive crop of talent. The vibrant and diverse lineup of Italian films this year include Paolo Genovese’s Perfetti sconosciuti (Perfect Strangers), Claudio Giovannesi’s Fiore, Matteo Rovere’s Veloce come il vento (Italian Race), Pippo Delbono’s Vangelo, Marco Danieli’s La ragazza del mondo(Wordly Girl), and many more.
