(SPOT.ph) Now that Boracay is back in business—or, at least, most of it, we just can't wait to file our vacation leave and book a flight to this place known for its powdery, white-sand beach. Be warned, however, because the "new" island may fall short of your expectations—unfinished road repairs, closed-down shops and restaurants, and problems on security here and there. It's a good thing that some resorts can still provide everything you need for a much-needed R&R. We round up the best ones that are worth the trip.
The Department of Tourism, as of writing, has approved a total of 211 hotels and resorts that are now fully compliant and accredited by the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force. The tourism agency warned that business owners who would still open their doors to guests without securing an accreditation "shall be dealt with the full force of the law."
