Heads Up: You Can Get a Free Guided Tour at Museo del Galeón This May
Manila's newest museum is welcoming its first few guests with a special treat this May.

The experiential maritime museum only opened its doors on May 1, but it’s already making a major splash, with its full-scale galleon and galleries that bring the country’s rich seafaring history to life.
If you haven’t made your way to the massive dome in Pasay yet, the timing for your first visit couldn’t be more perfect. For the entire month of May, Museo del Galeón is offering free guided tours every Wednesday to Sunday. It’s the perfect excuse to step inside the museum and finally see what the buzz is all about. Here's how.
Here’s how to tour Museo del Galeón for free this May:
While the museum is a permanent fixture at MOA, these expert-led walkthroughs are a limited-time perk. They are available every Wednesday to Sunday throughout the month of May. To catch a free guided tour, make sure you’re there for one of these three daily slots: 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m.
Keep in mind that slots for the free tours are limited and are strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Try to arrive earlier than your preferred time slot to secure your spot. With Museo del Galeón spanning 9,000 square meters, having a guide to lead you through the ship's decks and galleries is definitely a game-changer.
Tickets to Museo del Galeon
The guided tours are completely free of charge, but visitors will still need to purchase a ticket to enter the museum. Tickets are available online and on-site, priced at P675 for adults, P275 for teachers and public school students, and P375 for private school students. Children under 2 feet can enter for free.
If you’re planning to drop by on Mother’s Day, the museum also has a special treat prepared. Moms can enter for free from May 6 to 10, as long as they’re accompanied by two paying companions. The first 20 moms every day will even receive a special token for the occasion.
Museo del Galeón is located at the SM Mall of Asia complex, Seaside Boulevard, Pasay City. It is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, visit the official website.
