(SPOT.ph) Although museums around the world celebrate International Museum Day (IMD) on May 18, many museums and galleries in the Metro are extending their celebrations through the rest of the month. If you’re looking to dive into the arts and culture scene, there’s no better time than now—especially if you're planning to hit up the Metropolitan Museum of Manila (The M).

Heads up, Spotters: you can visit The M sans any fee from May 19 to 31, thanks to a two-week free-entry window in celebration of IMD. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the festivities for International Museum Day 2026. But before you head out, here’s everything you need to know about the two-week-long promo.

Free entry at The Metropolitan Museum of Manila for May 2026

The Metropolitan Museum of Manila is giving art lovers a major treat by waiving all admission fees in the last two weeks of May. The zero-peso entry applies all day on days the museum is open.

To score free entry, all you need to do is register online with your basic details and preferred date of visit. Note that while The M does allow walk-ins, you’ll still need to complete the registration form upon arrival. So, you might as well save yourself the hassle and book a slot before you go. Just make sure you get there before the final cut-off for entry at 5:30 p.m.

Your free pass grants you all-access to every gallery and exhibition currently on display. Right now, you can catch the Omocha: Japanese Toys Today (a traveling exhibition by the Japan Foundation Manila until May 31), alongside Winna Go’s Seams of Memory and the museum's collection Femme Hommage.

For a hands-on experience, interactive games and self-portrait stations are available at The M Art Studio, while a Gashapon Philippines pop-up on the second floor invites visitors to score mini capsule trinkets.

How much is regular entry to The M?

The special promo sounds more enticing when you consider that regular all-access tickets to the Metropolitan Museum of Manila usually go for P550 for adults, P440 for senior citizens and PWDs, and P275 for students.

Groups visiting together can also typically opt for a bundle that hooks you up with six tickets for the price of five. Children aged four and below can come in for free.

So save yourself a few hundred pesos because, luckily, this promo lets you visit for free from May 19 to 31—no matter which category you fall under.
