(SPOT.ph) If there’s an Indian food station at a buffet, you already know where you’re headed. You hover over the tandoori chicken and ladle suspiciously colorful curries onto your plate, even if you're unsure of which meat is hidden under the thickness of the curry. If that sounds like you, good news: there’s a buffet that goes full Indian. Om Indian Kitchen is hosting an Indian food buffet in Pasig City, serving both lunch and dinner sessions at a steal price of P790 per head.

Don't miss Om Indian Kitchen's weekend Indian food buffet

As with any buffet, Om Indian Kitchen's weekend selection will have starters, main courses, and desserts that are all distinctively flavored with India's library of spices. You can expect the likes of samosas and cucumber salad for starters. Choose your fighter wisely—pick the former if you want a heavy, filling appetizer; or the latter for something light and refreshing.

You can follow this up with mains. There’s the tender Butter Chicken, plus heavier hitters like Keema Beans (pork and kidney beans in a deeply spiced curry) and Chole (a chickpea curry). Pro tip: you'll want to get small portions of each, just see which curry curries more weight in your heart.

But, of course, don't forget that these demand to be eaten with warm Garlic Naan, and/or a generous heap of Biryani Rice. Or, you can go the vegetable route and pair it with Aloo Gobi that's made with potato and cauliflower.

After all the savory and spicy meats, you can move on to desserts like the Cardamom Sago Kheer—chilled milk pudding with tapioca pearls, cardamom, saffron, and an almond garnish—which offers sweetness with just enough spice to remind you this is still an Indian meal. Note that drinks aren’t included, so you'll have to pay extra for the usual can-do-no-wrong Mango Lassi, Lemon Ginger, or Masala Chai.

Om Indian Kitchen's Weekend Buffet is on for January 17 and 18, and it's priced at P790 per head. The lunch service starts at 11:30 a.m. and runs until 2:30 p.m., while dinner service is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. While walk-ins are accepted, if you're a type A person, you can reserve a table by calling Om Indian Kitchen at 8561-4581 or 0906-451-9245.

Om Indian Kitchen is at G/F, Retail Row, The Grove by Rockwell, Pasig City. For more information, check out
