Yabu Turns 15: Enjoy Their Famous Katsu Sets for Only P150
We feel excited... and old.
Published on Nov 6, 2026
(SPOT.ph) 2011 was a wild time. We had the Royal Wedding, the final film of the Harry Potter franchise, the launch of Adele's 21 and Lady Gaga's Born This Way, planking... and, in November of that year, the birth of Yabu.
Can you believe it? 15 years just flew by, and the place feels as fresh as ever; that's no easy feat. So it's only right that they celebrate, and they're choosing to do so with the people who've kept them going for a decade and a half—you, their loyal customers.

On November 11, 2026, guests in every standalone Yabu branch can enjoy the 80g Classic Rosu Set (normally P435) or 80g Classic Chicken Set (normally P420) for only P150, with the standard refillable servings of Japanese rice, shredded fresh cabbage, miso soup, and fruit. That's well over 20 branches all over Metro Manila (except for the inside of Kiwami Japanese Master Kitchens) inviting you to come and celebrate.
This offer is valid for dine-in only, one (1) katsu set per guest per visit, while supplies last.
But that's not all they have up their sleeves—they mean it when they say they couldn't have made it this far without the support of diners like you. So once you're all done with that unbelievable anniversary deal, take your receipt down to get your keepsake from the Yabu pop-up photobooths (at SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, SM Marilao, Greenhills Mall, and Festival mall), open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on that same day.

While Yabu (and their parent company, the Standard Group) began with the principle of mastering one dish and serving it at its best, they've thrown in a couple of curveballs over the years—including shutting down early and feeding frontliners during the COVID-19 pandemic—and continue to reinvent themselves throughout the years.
