(SPOT.ph) There are endless flavors and ingredients that can be paired with chocolate, but when it comes down to it, some combos are just eternal—like the winning trio of creamy milk chocolate, sticky caramel, and buttery shortbread to tie it all together. It’s a union we’d often see in the store-bought candy bars ever-present in our younger years, and if you’re looking to relive the memories in a way that keeps adult sensibilities in mind, we’ve got just the thing. Award-winning Filipino bean-to-bar chocolate brand 1919 has a new chocolate-caramel-biscuit treat that’s available for a limited time.

1919 Chocolate takes on the chocolate-caramel-biscuit combo

You can think of 1919 Chocolate’s Twee Caramel Bar as a grown-up version of popular American treats like Twix, made from scratch and with local flair to boot. It starts with a shortbread base that's buttery-rich and crumbly; on top is a layer of salted caramel, golden in hue and rightfully gooey in consistency. Each bar is then enrobed in a thick shell of 1919’s milk chocolate, which is more complex and cacao-forward than its commercialized counterparts, being made using cacao beans from 1919’s 100-year old farm in Batangas.

The Twee Bar goes for P295 (note that that's the introductory price!) per 120-gram piece, which you can absolutely share with a friend or have all for yourself. The catch? Stocks are limited—as of writing, they’re taking preorders for pickup on Tuesday, August 12. Run, don’t walk; orders can be placed via the online shop on their website.
1919 Chocolate is a family-owned, tree-to-bar chocolate brand makes chocolate with their own cacao from Malvar, Batangas. They've been recognized on a global scale and have even bagged international awards—including the Academy of Chocolate 2021, where they bagged their second silver award for their 62% Dark Chocolate and their first bronze award for their 70% Dark Chocolate.

For orders, visit 1919 Chocolate’s website. You can also check out their Facebook page.
