Good News: This Convenience Store's Got Glinda and Elphaba-Inspired Sweets

(SPOT.ph) November hasn’t even kicked in, but our feeds are already turning a shade of emerald green and bubblegum pink—which just signals the anticipation for Elphaba and Glinda's return to the big screen for Wicked: For Good, the long-awaited second installment of the hit Broadway musical turned blockbuster phenomenon. Getting a head start on all the Wicked excitement is 7-Eleven; the convenience store has launched a series of themed sweets and drinks, the perfect treats to keep us dancing through life (or at least until the film finally hits cinemas).

7-Eleven has jumped on the Wicked craze with two new cake slices inspired by the film’s leading ladies. There’s the Popular Spell Cake (P85)—a pink-and-green pistachio slice frosted with strawberry cream and topped with crushed nuts, a sweet nod to Glinda the Good." Then there's the "Wicked Witch of the West" inspired Emerald City Cake (P95), which features the same pistachio cake base layered, but with an added pistachio-kataifi filling in between and a thick chocolate ganache coating, and finished off with a sprinkle of crushed nuts.

Just in case you didn't know, Mister Donut supplies the convenience stores with their bestselling donuts, and in some instances, flavors that are only exclusively available in the convenience store. Case in point: the Wicked-themed The Enchanted Donut (P50), a palm-sized ring donut coated in white chocolate; the other half sprinkled with glistening magenta-pink sugar, and the other in green candy sprinkles. Because yes, Glinda and Elphaba still meet in this lifetime, as destiny intended it to be.

7-Eleven also launched the Glinda-inspired Pink Lyche Lemonadee (price starts at P35) to complete the Wicked Treats lineup. This new drink is joined by longtime favorites like Cucumber Lemonade and Mystic Mtn Dew—perfect picks if you’re leaning more toward an Elphaba-themed drink.
