(SPOT.ph) Sure, it’s become a running gag that the Philippines treats Christmas like a four-month celebration—September hits, and suddenly Jose Mari Chan is everywhere. But like most Filipino jokes, there’s a huge shard of truth to it: Filipinos do take the season seriously. Christmas trees go up while Halloween decor is still waiting to be dusted off. Christmas lights and parols are put up in public spaces. And then there’s the food—the one thing Filipino celebrations (or any celebration at that) need.

The excitement over the holidays spills right into restaurants, cafés, and fast-food counters as they unveil their holiday exclusives, each one a small promise of comfort and nostalgia. In this guide, we round them all up so your reunions, Noche Buena, and Media Noche feel just a touch more festive.

Just like clockwork, Pancake House brings back its festive pancakes on the menu. There's the Bibingka Pancakes (P199) which is a stack of mini pancakes topped with grated queso de bola, slices of salted egg, and topped with butter. There's also the Puto Bumbong Pancakes (P199), a stack of mini pancakes filled with ube in between and topped with grated queso de bola. Both of these pancakes are served with muscovado sugsar and freshly grated coconut.

SaladStops version of a White Christmas isn't the one that involves snow—at this salad store, it's their Christmas-special salad bowl that uses a mix of greens (romaine and kale), cubed cuts of chicken ham, walnut snow (think candied walnuts, but with a meringue-ladyfinger-like layer), grapes and green apples for some brightness, croutons for some crunch, and a Queso de Bola dressing.

Rebel Bakehouse has three new panettone for the holidays—it's their own take on the iconic Italian Christmas baked goodie with a distinguishable characteristic of a tall and rounded dome, like a ginormous muffin. The three Rebel Bakehouse panetonnes are Traditional (P1,700), Three Chocolate (P1,950), and Mixed Berries with White Chocolate and Pistachio (P1,950).

The Traditional uses a light and airy panettone that's studded with candied fruits and raisins; the Three Chocolate gets its sweetness from a chocolate panettone, and the added Belgian dark and milk chocolate completes the three; and the Mixed Berries with White Chocolate Pistachio infuses the panettone with white chocolate, and is mixed with house-made pistachio paste and mixed berries.

Jamba’s Holiday Avocado lineup is leaning into a subtly Grinch-y vibe—three green drinks built around avocado. There’s the Milky Avocado, a creamy blend of avocado, soymilk, low-fat milk, and frozen yogurt; the Mango Avocado, which basically tosses mango into the Milky Avocado equation; and the Banana Avocado, which swaps in bananas instead.

Take a brief hiatus from your usual Molly’s faves (we’re 90% convinced it’s either the Roasted Brown Butter or the Bacon Bomb) and switch things up with their limited-edition Christmasm flavor: Queso de Bola & Hot Chocolate. This salty-sweet number, available as a ring donut (P95) or a square (P59), comes crowned with shaved Dutch Edam and finished with a generous drizzle of homemade hot chocolate.

McDonald’s is leaning into a White Christmas fantasy with snow-dusted chicken—specifically, the Honey Butter Chicken McDo with Snow Cheese Powder and the Honey Butter Chicken McDo with Garlic Parmesan Powder. Picture your usual Chicken McDo, but generously glazed in honey butter, then paired with a packet of your chosen “snow” that you shake on yourself. The honey acts like edible glue, so the powder clings to meat.

Want something sweet for dessert? McDonald's launched new McFlurry flavors alongside the Honey Butter Chicken McDo. There's the McFlurry White Choco Cereal and McFlurry Matcha with Oreo.

Butterboy is diving headfirst into the holiday mood with two limited-edition flavors. First up: the Biscoff Croissant (P115), made with their signature flaky pastry, stuffed with a cookie butter filling, and topped with a Butterboy cookie for an added touch of cuteness. Then there’s the classic Cheese Roll (P85), a sugar-raised croissant dough wrapped around a generous strip of cheese, and the Leche Flan Danish (P100), a croissant with a hollowed-out center filled with sweet, creamy flan.

And be it for snacking or gifting, they’ve also rolled out Biscrocho: petite croissant slices toasted into crispy chips, available in Classic (P150), Garlic (P160), and Chocolate (P180); Canelé (P350/box of eight), which have that signature custard-like center and a sweet crust; and, if you prefer something poppable, the Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies (P260): bite-sized treats packed with semi-sweet dark chocolate chunks.

Wendy's launched a few items for Christmas, like a Holiday Salad (price starts at P129) and an Extreme Cheese Baconator Double (P219/solo)—but the most intriguing of them all? The Putobumbong Frosty (P59/6 oz. and P109/tub). This is Wendy's signature vanilla soft serve, topped with leche flan, purple rice cake slices, grated cheese, rice crispies, and drizzled with latik sauce for a festive twist that feels unexpectedly delightful and irresistibly nostalgic of cold weather while attending simbang gabi.

Bakery Felt, or just Felt, launched three savory croissants topped with cubes of smoky barbecue from Vito's BBQ. There's the Seoul-Search Samgyupsal Bun that pairs the meat with a spicy, cheesy sauce and white kimchi; the 24/7 Good Vibers Silog Bun that adds in cheese fondue, sunny side up egg, and green onions; and the Date Night Sizzling Steak Bun, which has mashed potato, buttered corn kernels, and crispy garlic bits on top. Meet PICKUP Coffee's new drinks this Christmas: Apple Pie Milk (P99): milk flavored with apple jam and a dash of cinnamon, topped with sea salt cream, Tiramisu Latte (P125): espresso, milk with tiramisu, and with a sea salt cream crown, and Cinnamon Oat Latte (P119): espresso, oat milk, and cinnamon. This is launched together with a 2026 planner, which you can redeem after collecting 30 stickers.

We all know the drill: once sticker-collecting season kicks off, Starbucks brings back its Christmas staples. There's the Peppermint Mocha, the Toffee Nut Crunch Latte, and the usual roster of holiday bites like the Chicken Fajita Roll. But just because red velvet crinkles haven’t gone viral in ages doesn’t mean you should skip on Starbucks’ Red Velvet Whoopie Pie. It’s a palm-sized red velvet cake sandwich with a thick cream cheese filling in the middle—basically, the ideal sweet pairing to whatever coffee you’re ordering.

Serenitea's new holiday drinks are the Winter Coconut Peach, which has oolong tea for its base, peach for some sweetness, and coconut to make it creamy, and the Merry Berry Dragonfruit, which also has oolong tea but is made refreshingly fruity with dragonfruit, strawberry, and lemon. Both of these drinks are only available in large sizes.

PSA for the heavy (tea) drinkers: Serenitea is bringing back its Jumbo Cup, and you can get a free upsize if you're buying from December 17 to 19.

Shakey's Christmas contribution is a sweet-salty treat, the Merry Sea Salt Brownie Ala Mode (P129). Just like any other brownie à la mode, this uses a warm and fudgy brownie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and Shakey's version adds a caramel drizzle and a pinch of sea salt to bring out the sweetness of the dessert.

Shakey's also has other Christmas specials, like the holiday Glazed Ham & Cream Cheese Pizza, which has slices of sweet gam, ooey-gooey cream cheese goodness, bell peppers, and spiced pineapple glaze. There's also the Biscoff Shake, which is a creamy shake with crushed Lotus Biscoff, then crowned with whipped cream, Biscoff sauce, and one whole Biscoff cookie on top.
