The Manila Matcha Fest Is Back: 24 Matcha Shops, 10 Days, and Free Entry

(SPOT.ph) More than a year after matcha became everyone's favorite green drink, the craze is still going strong. Every month—or, let's be honest, practically every weekend (RIP to our wallets)—there's another matcha bazaar or pop-up somewhere in Metro Manila.

This August 7 to 16, the Manila Matcha Festival, the "OG matcha festival," is back at the same venue, same 10 days of pure matcha high—but with double the matcha brands this time, bringing its lineup to 24.

The Manila Matcha Fest is returning for its second run at SM Mall of Asia's Main Atrium, from August 7 to 16, 2026. Similar to last year, it will be a 10-day celebration, but what's different is that it's twice the size, with the lineup expanding from 12 merchants to 24.

Luckily, admission is free, so you can keep coming back for more matcha—as you do need to pace your matcha intake, as most merchants will be releasing drinks exclusively for Manila Matcha Fest.

• Day off Space: This shop's new festival drinks are Cheese Bread Matcha, Butterscotch Matcha, Blue Tea Matcha, and Pink Pandan Cloud.

• Go to Matcha: The new drink is Ube Cereal Matcha.

• Hoshi House: The new drinks on the menu are Dango Dream Matcha, Kokuto Okinawa Hojicha, Dot Cake Matcha, and Caramel Miso Matcha.

• Kaori: The new drinks are Choco Malt and Fig and Vanilla.

• Matcha Folk: The folks at Matcha Folk are launching a Matcha Float and Choco Lava Matcha.

• Matcha House: New on the menu are the Mangonana Pudding Matcha and the Filipino-inspired Banana Cue Matcha and Taho Matcha, which are made in collaboration with other matcha brands.

• Matchanese: Matchanese is going big with five new dessert matcha drinks, namely the Dulce De Leche Matcha, Matchamporado, Matchanese Tiramisu Latte, Egg Brulee Matcha, and Ube Pudding Matcha.

• Nagomi: Launching during the festival are Matcha Float, Matcha Affogato, and Mango Sago Matcha Latte.

• One Cup Matcha: The new festival drinks are the Ube Coconut Cloud Matcha, Matcha Lemonade, and Sei (Matchacano). They will also have a Twin Cup Taho promo, plus a matcha and hojicha drink in collaboration with Halo.

• Sari Matcha Bar: This matcha bar will be launching the Brown Butter Dates Caramel Matcha for the festival. The festival promos include discounts and free drinks, pastries, and pins.

• Shizu Matcha Bar: Shizu is launching festival-exclusive drinks in collaboration with Cha Yi. You can also get powder restock and exclusive collab drinks in partnership with Kyoto House, and a free milk upgrade from FreeNow Coconut Milk.

• Slo Matcha: Sweet or salty? You can get both with Slo Matcha's new festival drinks, the Muscovado Dango and Tultul Seasalt Matcha. You can also get a free random drink, which is hidden in the cups.

• Soft Brews Club: This matcha bar will have three festival-exclusive drinks: Rose Matcha, Cream Cheese Brulee Hojicha, and Pandan Matcha.

• Spare Key: The new drink is the Tokyo Fog, and there will also be a Nokori's (Spare Key's retail brand) birthday giveaway wherein the winner can get a matcha set including a chawan, chasen, sieve, and chashaku ni a dark green leather bag.

• Take Five: Take Five will be releasing an event-exclusive tin can that you can design yourself, and this container can be filled with the Haji and Dark Roast Hojicha (sold per gram).

• The Haku Cafe: The new drinks to try during the festival are Matcha Egg Brulee, Buko Pandan Matcha, and Mango Sticky Rice Smoothie.

• Too Much Matcha: Too Much Matcha is partnering with Haku Cafe for the festival-exclusive Vietnamese Egg and Egg Brulee Matcha.
